Aikido Yoshinkai NSW
Aikido Yoshinkai NSW is a full time dojo located in Marrickville. the dojo has a sprung floor and permanently laid tatami mats with a training area of 220sqm. There are change rooms and showers.
The dojo was established in 2005 by Darren Friend Shihan (6th dan) and Peggy Woo Sensei (5th dan) after they returned to Australia having spent 13 years training in Tokyo Japan at the Yoshinkan Headquarters dojo where they were both on the teaching staff. The dojo syllabus follows the Yoshinkan System of aikido with emphasis on practical application and self defense. The dojo has kids classes (age5-13) Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 5.15-6.15 pm and Saturday morning from 10.00-11.00 am. There is a teen class on Fridays from 5.15-6.15 pm. Aikinetic Applied self defense using the basics of aikido. It is recommended students have been training for some time before joining this class.
