Arrow Martial Arts teaches martial arts designed for both adults and children of all ages. It’s a proven, practical, fun, and easy-to-learn system that instils the fundamentals of martial arts techniques.
Arrow was founded by Robin and Corinne Dosoruth, qualified Shinbudo Jujutsu Black Belts and trainers.
Our classes are in Marsfield in Sydney’s northern suburbs. At Arrow, your class will be enjoyable and safe and you will learn from qualified trainers with years of experience.

Martial Art Styles

Programs & Class Schedule
Mini Mites (3 – 4 years old)
Children learn basic life skills such as respect, confidence and having a positive attitude. Using positive reinforcement techniques, Arrow Martial Arts trainers help the children develop both gross and fine motor skills as well as how to take turns and follow directions. Children are introduced to personal safety techniques, stranger danger, how to fall properly, what to do if they become lost.
Mighty Mites (5 – 8 years old)
Children learn the fundamentals of martial arts and self-defence. The program will keep them physically fit and help with the benefits of good behaviour, teamwork, good manners, patience and trying their best. It covers valuable lessons on bullying and stranger danger. Beyond just kicking and punching, our aim is to develop the habits of winners early.
Junior Black Belt (9 – 14 years old)
The children’s martial arts and self-defence practised in the Junior Black Belt class is dynamic and fast-paced. Students learn excellent martial arts skills from several disciplines including Taekwondo, Ju Jitsu and Aikido. We place a strong emphasis on developing leadership, individual responsibility and the philosophy of martial arts. This is an outstanding program for children as they develop into young adults. Being around strong leaders and role models mentors the development of strong values and morals. From early in the program, we strongly focus on overcoming difficulties that may enhance negative behaviour. Our aim is to give your children the best shot at learning and maintaining a ‘winner’s attitude’ long term, and learning the secret of applying that same formula to everything that appears before them.
Shinbudo adult classes
‘Fierce in battle yet gentle in life.’ Shinbudo immortalises the spirit of the ancient samurai in modern society. Shinbudo is a newer, evolved approach to martial arts and life relevant to our society and culture. It teaches immediate and practical fighting skills that can be learned, assimilated and used quickly and immediately by men and women of all ages. Simple defensive combinations are taught in all ranges of fighting: distant fighting with long-range kicks and punches, in-close fighting with knees, elbows and standing grappling and control on the ground. The classes mix in plenty of strength and conditioning work and they are excellent for fitness and endurance. Our classes are well attended by both men and women.
