Australian Combat TaeKwonDo is a freestyle form, started in 2003 by Founder/Master Instructor Peter A Cooper. This was a style was formed by 33 yrs experience in traditional TKD, 12 yrs experience in the Australian Security Industry and numerous years x-training in other traditional styles of Martial and fighting Arts. Master Cooper has been teaching Martial Arts in this district for 27 yrs and understands the needs of the community when it comes to self defence study and practice.
A.C.T. is a style whose main focus is on "reality" training for the streets and everyday self defence. Our training promotes a family orientated atmosphere suitable to people of all ages, shapes, sizes and levels of fitness. One of the main aspects that our students learn is to have the Confidence & Ability to walk safely on the streets.
Classes consist of Self Defence/knife defence training, ground fighting skills, locks and grappling along with traditional patterns. The traditional kicks of TKD mixed with these aspects creates a great balance for Martial Arts training.
