Hi all

Ive been a member of ACT for 10+years. The school is professionally managed by Peter Cooper, who himself has been involved in martial arts for 29+years the classes are well organised and equipped. Making every class interesting and challenging. the class has an abundance of mixed ages and abilities. which is very clear on the quality of class instruction and participants improvement with every class. The learning experience is second to none. i reccomend this school for anyone looking to learn martial arts

These classes are alot of fun, but is great quality at the same time. There is a range of ages and coloured belts and Instructor Peter Cooper somehow manages to arrange different techniques that are simple enough for the younger ones and are difficult enough for everyone else. There is a balanced combination of laughter and hard work. I recommend this class for everyone.

I've known Peter Cooper for the best part of 28 years. We attended the same high school and trained together for many years. Throughout, Peter emerged as one of the few standouts of our class, dedicating countless hours into his own development and the development of the club. Nothing I've witnessed compares to his dedication to his students. Peter takes a personal interest in the needs of each individual and with his vast knowledge, is able to empower all whom he teaches with the ability to overcome their personal obstacles. He's taught myself and my family.

When it began over 10 years ago, I was Peter's Senior instructor at Australian Combat Taekwon-Do. I'm pleased to see Peter re-emerge with A.C.T. A tremendous asset to the community I'll continue to encourage my students to attend Peter's seminars.

Freestyle art with a Tae Kwon Do basis

With all the martial arts styles I have sampled, Peters freestyle adaptation of traditional teachings of Korean Tae Kwon Do is an inspired freedom of movement.

I have had the honour of being the Senior Instructor of Australian Combat Tae Kwon Do and shared this adaptation with honour and pleasure. The results of this manner of training are happy students that are left with impressive results. Each student is left with applicable & valuable training with a heightened sense of self worth. I know because even as an instructor, I did too.

The training you will receive will be inspirational with facets from many styles incorporated into a style that doesn't beat around the bush. Try it to see what I mean. You won't be left disappointed.

Both my children attended Mr Coopers classes on a regular basis, he has done wonders for their self confidence and physical fitness. My youngest daughter is also into dance and as a result of the prowess taught to her in Mr Coopers Classes she has excelled in other endeavours, specifically wining dancer of the year at her school. The classes run by Mr Cooper not only teach practical self defence skills , he teaches valuable life skills that can keep your children safe.

I have been training with Mr Peter Cooper for 3 years now. He is an excellent instructor in demonstrating and explaining how and why you would use this particular combination in a situation if you should find yourself in one similar. Everyone is made welcome and work as a team to help each other achieve what sometimes is thought impossible. i would greatly recommend this club.

to the comment above I highly recommend you collect all the right facts before you comment much appreciated.

As a 55 year old woman have been fortunate to receive some excellent self defense instruction from Mr Cooper who has had many years of experience in Martial Arts. My family have thoroughly enjoyed their training with Peter and are looking forward to his classes resuming soon. I would recommend this club to anyone searching for a TaeKwonDo club to join.

This style was formed on the 9th Jan 2013 and is NOT currently insured or registered.

How can someone claim to have trained in this style for 3 years when it has just begun .

The founder Mr Peter Cooper had his membership of a similar named Martial Art. Australian Unarmed Combat cancelled and membership to Tae Kwon Do Australia withdrawn after breach of code of conduct Missapropation of insurance money paid for student insurance. How about tell the truth.

I have known Mr. Cooper since I was of the age of nine. I trust he can provide the most comfortable learning environment for anyone whether it be a family, couples, children or even if you just want to learn how to defend yourself. Peter Cooper's classes teach confidence, discipline, respect, and allow anyone to feel welcome. these classes are for EVERYONE of all ages, shapes and sizes and are very beneficial not only will you learn the respect and discipline taught, you will also feel healthy, myself being an asthmatic I now rarely ever have to use my inhaler if not at all thanks to Mr. Cooper. It is most definitely a welcoming environment and I urge anyone who is reading this to give it a try.

Hi All,

I have been a member of this style with my family for the past four years, during this time we have progressed and grown with this style from novice level to intermediate. The journey for any martial artist is a continuing one and although we have cross trained with other styles over the years, the consistently high level of instruction from Mr Cooper has seen my family mature into very capable martial artists. Mr Cooper is one of the best free form and one step exponents I have had the privilege to train with and I cannot speak highly enough of his skills, real world depth of knowledge and Psychology he has imparted with both his self defense and traditional training style. Its a great Family atmosphere and I can guarantee you will learn something new everyday.
