Bujinkan Brendale Dojo is a small and friendly training group that is dedicated to training in the art of Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu (aka Ninjutsu). The training takes place at StudioMMA, which is a new Martial Arts complex in Brendale, a suburb of Brisbane, Australia.
Alastair Gould is the chief instructor and a Bujinkan (Ninjutsu) 10th Dan black belt. He has been training in the Bujinkan for over twenty years. Alastair also holds a dan grade in Jujutsu (Ryoi Shinto Ryu) and has trained in the French kickboxing style Savate (Boxe Francaise) for many years. He trained on a regular basis with Shihan Peter King, (who is the senior instructor for the Bujinkan in the UK) until he emigrated to Australia in November 2013. He also trains with Hatsumi Soke and other Japanese Shihans in Japan. In the UK he ran several training groups. He holds a valid Blue Card and would like to continue to study the Japanese healing medicine Amatsu which has links to this martial art and taught by Hatsumi Soke.
