Canberra Dragon Dance is Canberra's own Chinese Dragon Dance team. Dragon Dance has been performed since the Han Dynasty 1800 years ago and it is known throughout the world during celebrations such as Chinese New Year, Moon Festival and other community events.
We have 3 dragons and are available to perform for festivals and public and private events.
We are run by the Yut Hung Kung Fu Academy and have combined kung fu and dragon dance lessons from the age of 8 years old to 18 years old.
The following Martial Arts Styles are offered at Canberra Dragon Dance:
We train at the AIS Combat Centre on Mondays and Thursdays during ACT public school terms. Lessons are held at 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm with extra sessions on weekends and other times to prepare for performances.
