Freestyle Taekwondo Academy

Freestyle Taekwondo Academy caters for all ages and all fitness levels. The club uses traditional ITF Taekwondo Patterns/Forms but also has a modern approach to cross training and self-defence. All instruction is in English with the exception of a few Korean words used for simple things such as attention and ready. The self-defence is taught under strict supervision but with real life attacks with real time response required. Gradings are held regularly and the criteria for each belt is provided. Gradings are a combination of the students being able to demonstrate proficiency in Patterns/Forms, Fitness, Self Defence, Sparring and attitude qualities such as manners and discipline.
