Both my kids and husband attend Gisborne Taekwondo. My son has gained self confidence, courage and restraint. My husband loves the family friendly environment and exercise. My daughter enjoys training with friends and the exercise is great for little kids to develop balance self defence and respect for others.
The club has a competition each term and encourages each child to reach their potential and enter competitions throughout the state. Many of the members are national champions and all loved the experience. They enjoy the competition as well as socialising with other members pre and post event. The club promotes competition involvement, but has a main focus in the kids enjoying themselves!
As well as encouraging the kids, the club is great with older students and adults, with many furthering their training and becoming instructors.
