Goshukan Karate Academy ACT
Goshukan Karate Academy ACT is the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) branch of Goshukan Karate Academy. We run classes for the whole family, from kids as young as 4 to teens and adults.
Sensei Ben Brillante, a 3rd Dan Black Belt with Goju-Ryu Karate-Do Seiwakai, manages the branch and is the lead instructor of all classes.
Sensei Ben wants to ensure that all students understand how much they will enjoy learning from him before joining, so he offers interested students a try of one of his classes for FREE. Additionally, the school offers beginner students a '4 Class Intro Offer' following their free trial to give students a more in-depth understanding of the school and the teaching and training methods it delivers.

Programs & Class Schedule
We have training programs for all age groups.
The Little Ninjas program is designed to deal with the attention and learning capabilities of kids between the ages of 4 and 8. We have a dedicated class on Mondays and Fridays from 5.30 pm to 6.15 pm for this program.
The Junior program is for kids ages nine and above and follows the Little Ninjas from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm. The lesson mixes with teens and adults, allowing families to train together in the same class.
Then finally, we have the Advanced class for 3rd kyu Brown Belts and above from 7.35 pm to 9.05 pm, also on Mondays and Fridays. This class comprises students with over three years of karate training experience, mainly teens and adults aged 13 and above.
We also run classes on Saturday mornings from 8.00 am to 9.15 am. The class focuses on sparring skills development and is open to all age groups, including kids as young as four, so long as they enjoy learning from the class.
Our Monday and Friday classes run at Forrest Primary School in Forrest, ACT, near Canberra City. The location is central to the ACT and, therefore, is easily accessible by students from around the Canberra region.
