I had almost no experience with martial arts when I joined the school over three years ago, and everyone was extremely welcoming. The instructors always gave good quality and personalised advice which has helped me improve massively.
I love hapkido's practical and hands-on style, and as a result of being with the school I feel I have improved my fitness, flexibility, balance, and self-confidence. And I've made a bunch of good friends!
I would definitely recommend Hapkido Hosinsul to people at any level of fitness or martial arts training - from newbie to master, there will be something for you here.

I found it to be very supportive and highly skilled, it has made my daughter feel confident and boosted her self esteem. She loves it and the all encompassing atmosphere.

I've studied martial arts for almost two decades, and for most of that time I've trained exclusively in traditional jujitsu. When I received my shodan, a friend invited me to try out Hapkido Hosinsul, and I joined with the sole intention of improving my kicking.
I've enjoyed every minute of it. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming (with fruit at the end of each class!), and the experienced and highly capable instructors are excellent at providing critiques and suggestions to help students improve. The school is very diverse, with students of all ages (14-70), sizes, and levels of experience, and is well-equipped with pads, bags and mats for practising the varied curriculum of hand- and leg-strikes, locks, traditional patterns, throws and pins.
I've not only learned a lot about kicks, I've also gotten a more rounded and deeper perspective on the shared aspects of hapkido and jujitsu, so whether you're looking for a complementary cross-training art, have been a martial artist in the past, or just want to try something new, I would absolutely recommend giving this school a try.

If you're looking to learn practical self defence in a fun, well organised and friendly environment, I suggest you come and try Hapkido Hosinsul.
I have studied with Warwick and Russ for over 4 years and during that time have gained self confidence, learned relevant and applicable self defence techniques in the art of Hapkido and greatly improved my level of fitness.
The classes are dynamic, varied and high energy and the syllabus is well paced from beginner white belts through to black belts and beyond.
Although I have trained at Hapkido Hosinsul for several years, I was hooked from the beginning! I highly recommend the school and would encourage anyone with an interest in martial arts or self defence to come and try it out.
Really friendly club and a really great style! It combines more artistic and traditional defence with a lot of practical moves as well. The instructors are wonderful people and really great teachers, and are great at helping tailor things to individual needs (size, injuries etc). I feel really lucky to have found such a fantastic dojo.
