Karate Academy Sydney practices a traditional style of karate known as Goju Ryu (Hard/Soft Style) developed by Chojun Miyagi Sensei. At Karate Academy Sydney we strive to develop mind, body and spirit (Shin Gi Tai) in a safe and encouraging environment. We believe that by taking our training seriously we facilitate each and every individual's potential to achieve their personal best and establish solid foundations for life!
At the Academy we follow a standardised Japanese syllabus which means that all students that reach a Senior Black belt grade (over 16 years) are fully recognised for their grade internationally. Students are accurately assessed based on their individual skills and techniques. A clear understanding of this concept and process affirms why weekly attendendance is imperative.
Our instructors continually train and attend regular seminars around Australia and in Japan, to avoid providing students with stale boring techniques.
