Glenroy kyokushin karate is part of the fighting arts fitness centre in Glenroy. I have been training there since I opened over 15 years ago. The owners, staff, instructors & students are like family one big family. All you need to do is pop in one night and you will instantly understand this. They have produced numerous state & national champions and continue to do so year in year out. It is a full time facility offering many options. I was introduced to FAFC by my younger brother way back when they first opened. At the time he was a kyokoshin student, a style I wasn't too familiar with so I went down to the dojo to see them in training. I instantly liked what I saw and signed up becoming member #45. I enjoyed their method as it's about discipline, pushing yourself to your limit and walking away with a tired but fulfilling outcome. Being a dad these days and having an interest in kyokushin, my family has also adopted an interest in the kyokushin way so it is now a part of our lifestyle thanks to FAFC. My kids have been members of FAFC for 2 years now and I can only see a positive outcome in them such as discipline, fitness and confidence.

I started Kyokushin karate at Glenroy 16 years when they first opened. I have since gone on to win several Australian national championships and compete around the world. I have had the pleasure of being able to assist and help teach the next generation of students in the discipline, self-control and respect that is the martial way and have forged several lasting relationships along the way, both within the club and with other clubs and organisations that we work with on a regular basis. Kyokushin karate is not a style of karate but a life-style that stays with you forever with the support from its trainers and members resembling a family more than a club.

Fighting Arts Fitness Centre is a great dojo with many forms of martial arts on offer for most ages, taught by very talented and accomplished teachers. A very supportive and encouraging group of people who help you achieve your goals. My family love it there, our little home away from home
