Maitland Martial Arts Academy

Maitland Martial Arts Academy is the only female owned and operated dojo in the Hunter Region. It is run by Sensei Samantha Morante. Sam has been involved in martial arts for over 15 years, gaining her 1st Dan Black Belt at just 16 years old. Since then Sam has trained and taught at many schools in Newcastle and the Hunter including Goshin Ryu, freestyle karate, Go Kan Ryu and Shotokan Karate.

Sam is a passionate and vibrant instructor who thrives on passing on her knowledge to her students and watching them grow throughout thier martial arts journey.

Programs & Class Schedule

Kids classes starting from just 5 years old. Monday and Wednesday from 5.00pm to 5.50pm
Adults classes from 13 years old. Monday and Wednesday nights from 6.00pm to 7.30pm
