Reviews of Massey's Black Belt Academy

I started at this school of martial arts with high blood pressure diabetes and being overweight which has caused me to feel low self esteem and unfit. After training for a month I am already seeing results. I have lost weight and I am feeling a new zest for life. This is a far cry from the depression I had been feeling. This school works with all ages and I have brought my family in. This is not uncommon and I have found a number of families have joined. The instructors are caring and supportive and want to see you achieve. I strongly recommend this school.

Martial Arts is a personal journey. My whole family gets lot out of our training.

The other review must be some disgruntled person who just wants to bag out the school. The school is awesome but hasn't been called Massey's 2011. .. My Kids Love it and are about to get their Black belts. ..

The school looks nice, but they make you sign an automatic credit card payment contract for easy payments. That's fine, but when you want to cancel, they make it really difficult. They say you have to pay an extra month, cancellation fees, etc. All up it was an extra $200!! Massey would not cancel my friend's CC payment, even after they had been asked numerous times. So my friend wound up paying for an extra 6 weeks of classes. The most unprofessional after school activity I have ever taken any of my kids to.

They upgrade the belt every month regardless of how well your child is doing. They aren't focusing on really trying to improve their skills and to reward them when they deserve it, not just cause they show up to class and stand in a line and kick.
