Melbourne Karate
Kyokushinkai is traditional Japanese martial art, founded by Mas Oyama. Karate is both an art and philosophy, because each person has a different personality, this reflects itself in their interpretation. Therefore, karate masters founded their own schools, teaching their style or ryu. Kyokushinkai is the name given to our style. Kyokushinkai offers a practical method of self defence and is deeply rooted in the philosophies of Zen, self-improvement, discipline and hard training.
Kyokushinkai has influenced many of the "full-contact" schools of karate, emphasizing realistic combat, physical toughness, and practicality in its training curriculum. Kyokushinkai is well known and highly respected within the martial arts world and is still known as "The Strongest Karate”.
