I have always wanted to find trainers that are professional, act professional, train professional. I have done a lot of training before. With Shane Cassidy there is no question, I have not been trained in such inviting, enjoyable manner then with Combat Combatives, I highly recommend it if you are serious about improving your knowledge, learning skills with self defence & personal protection with peace of mind. I have learnt skills that are practical in the real world mot just the Dojo.

I know I may be going on thick but believe me if you are truly serious about your safety & the safety of your family & friends you can't just go by, I have recommended Combat Combatives to all the people I know & explained just how important it is to have no nonsense training for the real world.

Surviving the Initial Encounter is the phrase that Shane Cassidy uses with his students over and over again, and thus reinforcing the need for myself and my security team to go home each night to our families. He has taught us to act in the best possible way to end issues as quickly and as safely as possible. His training on positioning and mindset saved my life and the lives of my team when we found ourselves in a vastly out numbered encounter with no backup in a location away from the main centers . I recommend anyone within the security industry to undertake as many of Shane's courses as possible and when you are able to snap up hard to get private sessions, do so.

I had the opportunity to train at military combatives for a couple of months. The only reason I stopped was that I moved away. In a few short weeks Shane and his instructors had me, thanks to some kick arse fitness circuits, seeing results in my fitness and stamina. Sit ups that I couldn't do in my first session I could do. Fitness sessions you thought you weren't going to get through you did because of there never quit attitude which they inevitably install in you. Great controlled sparing sessions, excellent instruction in self defense and fitness, and a very welcoming dojo makes it the whole package.

Regretfully I can't train there anymore but my short time at military combative was well worth it.

If you're looking for a professional, safe enviroment to learn world class skills this is the place for you! I have personally trained with Shane in Queensland on and off for the past 3 years, and i can't rate his courses high enough! My father served in the army with Shane and has trained with him over the past 20 years where Shane was the chief instructor of the armies unarmed combat training. My father also can not recommend him enough.

After being a private student of Mr Cassidy for almost four and a half years I already knew that Mr Cassidy's style of teaching and the skill sets he teach are trialed and proven in the field.

I can personally Testify that the using the skills that Mr Cassidy teaches I have used them in my workplace in an incident which lead to an arrest. What was more important though nobody was hurt in the process and the skills were instinctive.

Shane is very pragmatic in his approach.

If the technique, physical of psychological, doesn't work, he doesn't teach it.

You won't find any useless waffle, neither will you find Rambo telling you to suck the pain up as he hurts you for fun. I've experienced 'Instructors'like that.

Shanes experience in the field of (M)UAC shows, providing an informed and informative approach that will have you re-evaluating what you have been or will be taught by others.

Shane is a great hands on training instructor in so many different fighting and fitness systems, not to mention real life scenarios you may find your self stuck in. I'm always intrigued after leaving the gym and always learning something new whilst having the odd joke around!

Military Combatives has an outstanding program to meet the needs of the concerned citizen, security officer, law enforcement agent, and prepared military person.

I have worked and trained with Shane while serving in the Military, he is nothing but professional and diligent to his training and his business. His instruction and technical ability are of the highest standards , you will be hard pressed to find a more down to earth guy and one that cares about people and not just a pay cheque . Shane is a phenominal instructor. I have started his modules since October 2012 and being a Wing Chun instructor myself can say that his techniques are flawless and work quickly in the real world. If you want no-nonsense training which is fun and challenging I recommend Military Combatives.

This is a treasure trove of a dojo/school to learn martial combat. It is an valuable asset for the region and its martial arts practitioners. I heard a rumour that the head instructor (I will not name, names) once killed a man with his bare hands and Chuck Norris gave him the Nod for it. A NOD!

My youngest daughter has undertaking several sessions with Shane. She says the training is fun and that she has learned heaps, I have also noticed an increase in her self confidence which I feel is great. I was fortunate enough to watch one of the sessions and was very impressed with the structure of the session and the method of delivery. He is a gifted instructor who is able to impart his vast knowledge with ease. I would not hesitate to recommend Military Combatives to anyone.

I attended a class for Tactical Pen Training at North Lakes QLD on the 07-Mar-13.

I found the course to be full of information and the trainer "Shane Cassidy" to be very informative, as well as very thorough.

Shane always had our attention not once can I recall anyone loosing focus.

Shane is on top of my list as the best trainers I have attended. In my opinion, he would be very hard to beat.

Shane is always moving around the class and instruction one on one.
