Kendo is the Japanese way of the sword. It is practice with full armour and with a bamboo practice sword. This martial art is very rewarding in building one character and strengths. It promotes respect for your fellow kendoka and people in general. It builds self control and inner strength to use in everyday life.
I started Kendo in Sydney over 15 years ago and have lived and trained in Japan for around 5 years. I currently hold 4th dan (black belt) not that we wear coloured belts in kendo.
This dojo is for additional training and the main club hall is at Mt Gravatt in Brisbane. This club caters for people on the North side who want to learn or practice kendo. Beginners are welcome!
