North Star Martial Arts gave me a great opportunity and that was getting a black belt. Through a lot of hard work and a great team of trainers, this dream became a reality. It is one of my great achievement. Through North Star I changed as a person and became more confident, fitter and very discipline. North Star also gave me the opportunity to become a Martial Arts Instructor and this has enabled me to grow as a person.

When I started training at Northstar, a black belt was the furthest thing on my mind. I just wanted to get fit and pick up some self-defence skills.

Years later, I have a 2nd Dan Black Belt, have learnt amazing self-defence skills, got really fit and lost weight, made lots of really good friends and, more importantly, have learned that the old myth that martial arts is for a limited category of people has definitely been busted!

I've seen kids as young as 10 and people in their 50s smash through paralysing fear, physical and psychological limitations and endless other barriers to achieve what they never though would be possible to get their black belt and move their whole life to another level.

I was introduced to a great atmosphere of people from my first lesson. Everyone is friendly and open to helping you learn. The martial art is easy to learn yet very effective. It has not only helped me with self defence but also greatly increased my self esteem, confidence and level of fitness. It is well rounded style and I have never felt the need to learn from anywhere else.

The Northstar team is exceptional. The classes are well run and effective and the learning environment is excellent. I would highly recommend Northstar to any beginner.
