Reviews of RKD Martial Arts

As a student at RKD Martial Arts, I shall try not to brag and be bias, however, that is a little bit hard. I have gone from dojo to dojo, learning different styles but none have ever kept me interested. Just going to the same class and learning the same techniques failed to interest me; and the more styles I was introduced to, the more I would realise what each martial art was lacking and what strong point they had. Ever since joining RKD Martial Arts, I have been kept interested and informed about self-defence and logic in the situation of a fight; I have yet to find what RKD is lacking to give me a reason to be displeased- and I feel that I never shall. Sensei Ryan (RKD Martial Arts head instructor and owner) creates a pleasant and fun environment to learn in; it isn't the strictest of all dojo's in Perth- but I personally prefer that. It makes joining a new dojo and mixing with new people easier- we all know when to be serious and respect each other, but there is never a class without a far bit of laughter. Its enjoyable, safe and effective.

Of course, everyone has different interests, however, whenever I see a fresh face walking through the door of the first time to see what the dojo is like, it isn't often that I don't see them again. So far, the only problem about the dojo, is that it isn't air conditioned; the workouts provided by Sensei Ryan often leave you very hot and red-faced- but you will always notice the improvement in your body's physical capability.

All I'm saying is give it a go. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, but if it is, then its perfect.
