Seido Karate (Seido Juku) is a worldwide organisation, with dojos in countries all over the world (Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, England, Israel, Poland, Sweden, China, Jamaica, Brazil, USA & more) and over 22,000 active students (www.seido.com).
Seido Karate is aimed at people of all ages and abilities and teaches more than simply how to "kick and punch". "Technique before strength, spirit before technique." Seido was founded on the principles of Love, Respect and Obedience and aims to instil these principles through the daily practice of karate and Zen meditation.
Senpai Sam (2nd Degree Black Belt) the head instructor at Seido Sunnybank, has been training in Seido Karate for over a decade starting in New Zealand, then Victoria and now in Queensland. He still trains and instructs at Seido Brisbane (with 5th degree black belts - www.seidobrisbane.com.au) and often trains in Sydney, New Zealand and sometimes NYC, USA, with masters of Seido Karate.
