Kung Fu is a beautiful style developed by Monks of the Shaolin Temple in Central China. Originally a Yoga style Breathing, Meditation, Stretching, Fitness and Health exercise, it needed to adapt to also be functional for Self Defense.
Today, Shaolin Kung Fu proper is the art of Buddhist monks and predominantly a health and wellbeing art using martial art techniques. The monks need to be very good at their kung fu to manage conflicts calmy, confidently and mostly without the need for violence.
