If you want to study traditional budo karate this is it. Very highly recommended to anyone interested in starting karate.

I've been a member of the club for about a year and a half, having come from another martial arts style. I found Shushin Kai's members friendly and very helpful in class, many have a wealth of experience that they're more than willing to share. The instructors have a great depth of knowledge and understanding of their art and they offer a huge amount of technical supervision that one rarely experiences in any learning environment.

Good friendly environment for learning martial arts where you do not feel embarrassed to mark errors. Very structured with lots of discipline. Great for kids to learn about respect and being patient.

Joining the club has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. It has helped me in every aspect of my life and the teachers & students are very caring & committed. No one is lost in a crowd. Highly recommended.

I trained here under Shihan for a number of years and learnt the 'correct" katas and bunkai. I also made Life long friends. The training is hard but why would you want anything else. The Club motto is Go Hard or Go Home"! and a lot did go home!
Incorporated in the training is the Zen side of karate and this is helpful in your daily Life. I have no hesitation in recommending this Club to any persons seeking to enrich their Path in Life.

Having been to a McDojo for several years and paid a fortune for everything it's fantastic to have found a karate school that is focused on teaching karate and not just making money. The people in the school are more like a family than a club and there is a strong sense of community spirit, especially fom the many black belts.

I am 39 years old and this is my first karate school. My teachers are excellent and trained me from ground up. Moreover this place provides a safe, disciplined, technical environment to learn martial arts.
Great senior students, who are always ready to help and dedicate their time for my success.
It has been nearly 2 months that my son has started and I already see a huge improvement in his self confidence and he looks forward to every class!!!
