The Mandurah dojo offers a wide range of martial arts education focusing on the Goju Ryu style of karate. The dojo is built on 40 years of welcoming all students over the age of 7 and providing them with a Safe and Challenging training environment. Goju Ryu is a circular orientated style where impact to the body is greatly reduced allowing adults to commence training later in life without harming the body.
Building on the core of goju ryu (Hard and Soft style) students are trained in:
# Learn how not to be a victim. Develop independence, confidence to understand situations and make the smart tough decisions. Teaching younger ones how they can say No.
#Close fighting attack and defence.
# Ground work - build skills if the altercation goes to the ground
# Long fighting stick (Bo) to develop the skills to improvise
# Knife Defence (15 yrs and above)...learning how not to escalate situations but if required apply practical skills to minimise bad outcomes
Our dojo ensures everything learnt leads to the student having the opportunity to achieve their goals.
All our Black Belts are nationally accredited coaches. Steve is a past national team and state coach with the Australian Karate Federation and is the current State Coaching Facilitator.
We look forward to hearing from you.
