Welcome to the Melbourne Tang Soo Do, Moo Rim Kwan, school. We are a progressive martial arts school where you can learn self-defence and improve; fitness, confidence, coordination and other skills.
The Tang Soo Do, Moo Rim Kwan style has been developed over many years by Grand Master Shin, (10th Dan). The style combines traditional Korean Tang Soo Do skills with many new techniques developed by Grand Master Shin. Students learn; Yang Sang Chi Yu Bobh (health and vitality exercises), Kyok Sool a unique combination of hand and foot drills designed to develop reflexes, sensitivity and speed all at once. Hyungs (also known as Forms) which go back to a time when Tang Soo Do was used for real combat. Other important skills learnt are; Ho Sin Sul; (Self-defense techniques), Sam Soo Sik Deh Ryun; (Three-step sparring), Il Soo Sik Deh Ryun; (One-step sparring) and Ja Yu Deh Ryun (Free sparring). Also Senior belts are given an introduction to Hand acupuncture based healing.
