I enrolled my three children at Toodokan Self Defence Academy so they could learn how to defend themselves and gain some self confidence as my oldest child had been bullied throughout primary school. It has done wonders for their self esteem and my peace of mind knowing that they are gaining the skills to take care of themselves if the situation arises. After about six months I also joined as a way to improve my fitness. I found the staff and also the other students so friendly. Never have I been made to feel self conscious or inferior to anybody else. The instructors are all very helpful and approachable. I would highly recommend Toodokan to anyone, whether it be for their children or themselves, old or young, thin or a little bit bigger than some, as there is that much of a range of people there and it is like one big family.
