University of Wollongong Kendo Club
UOWKC is a non profit group that exists to encourage the study of the Japanese weapon arts, in particular Kendo (armoured free sparring with the Shinai or practice sword, since 1983), Jodo (four foot staff, since 2000) and Iaido (the art of drawing and attacking with the Japanese sword, since 1994).
All instructors are graded to at least 4th dan in the ZNKR/AKR framework, the senior instructors in all arts have all graded in Japan.
It conducts training at the North Wollongong PCYC.

Tuesday, 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm
IAIDO TRAINING TIMES
Sunday, 1.30 pm to 3 pm
JODO TRAINING TIMES
Sunday 12 noon to 1.30 pm
UOWKC instructors also run Iaido and Jodo at Bujutsu Martial Arts in Narellan on Fridays 7:00-8:30 pm.
