Things not as they seem!

Introduction & first session went fine. However, when my mate & I had to put our private lessons on hold because two family members were diagnosed with cancer, true colours were revealed!

After explaining our prolonged absence to Ross in an email, and asked to cancel lessons as our lives had changed drastically, we were slapped with huge penalties for not informing him. My mate had communicated to him during our journey by the way.

We lost alot of money. The money isn't the issue. It is the lack of compassion from Ross & clearly now, his true intention of gathering members for money after reading other reviews!

I strongly urge all prospective members to get clarification on all hidden penalties & agendas before committing 100% to membership.

I truly hope Ross is not a reflection of his late Sensei! Beware people don't fall into the same trap myself & my mate did!

Not happy with the dojo or the teacher

Ross was feeling first visit

Then after that was about money

And we work away told him this

And when back in town would make appointment to came in for private lessons

But he kept sending texting about when coming in and I told him when we get home

Then when I had family issues to deal with and needed to pull out

He took most of our money as we paid for 12 lessons. He said we never informed him that we wouldn’t be in. I would text him everytime when he texted asking if we would be in

But he still took most of the money in penalties so I gather he has no heart and is all about the money.

So no I wouldn’t recommend the dojo to anyone

It is about the money

I trained at this school a couple of months and thankfully it only took that long for the true

colours to come through, first lesson was great but after that i had two lessons with one of the

so called qualified instructors who did nothing but talk for the whole hour of the lesson, thats not what

I'm paying for, and yet another of the same guy jumping on the web to delete something on their facebook

That was put up by, lets say an individual who he did nothing but bad mouth the person for doing what he did, that put up some red flags for me in it gave me a sense of a power struggle, again not what a dojo is for, Bitterly disappointed as it if were not for that particular 'instructor' it would be a great place to train.

I joined this martial arts school in 2009, and left quite recently. Starting out, it was good for my physical fitness, however as the years went by it became more and more clear that Ross was interested more in the income his students produced rather than their personal growth or satisfaction. I have had this feedback from at least 2 former students who have also left. It is disappointing to see how much of an impersonal money making scheme WCAA has become.

Definately First Class Aikido Instruction

My son and I have been training here for two years and absolutely love it! Not only are Shihan Ross Taylor and his team of instructors knowledgeable and proficient in Aikido as well as other complimenting styles of Martial Arts they are clearly passionate about teaching and delivering Grade "A" instruction. The Dojo's atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, and it feels like I joined a family rather than a school. I feel as if I'm learning an effective self-defense discipline in a non-threatening and non-competitive way, and I am having fun learning self-defense, getting fit while building my self-confidence. I would recommend this place to everybody!
