How tae kwon do Australia has let this place continue is beyond me. ........ Stick to another form or martial arts for training and spiritual needs as this one is a joke.

Unprofessional and narcissistic instruction

Looks like it could be a good place however upon talking to a few people it became obvious that the instructor is more interested in appearance as opposed to the art of tae kwon do. Had some members warn me to be wary and also give some horror stories of poor treatment of members and some concerning issues relating to ethics and ethical practices between instructor and student relationships. Give this one a miss or at least keep your guard up.

The essence of Martial Arts

Fantastic place to study Martial Arts. The instructors are both friendly, and approachable, whilst being committed to the delivery of authentic Martial arts training. They work to build fitness, strength, and skill, in a fun, safe, family friendly environment. The instructors teach children from the age of 5 years old in order to develop their co-ordination, confidence, and self-belief.

Great place to get you wife, girlfriend or female family member hit on and seduced. Avoid at all costs.

Bad name for a reputable sport.

I have always had great experiences with whiteway's tae-kwon-do, everyone is very friendly and easy to get along with, the instructors are great, Not sure what that review from the other guy is about? being singled out, bullied and physically threatened but still trained there for 3 years? doubtful, I have a physical disability and have received nothing but empathy and support from shane and jeff. a great environment to be in and something I would recommend to everyone, young and old.

I went to "Whiteway's Taekwondo", back in 1991, 1992 and 1993, when I was 9, 10 and 11 years old, and I did not enjoy it, one single bit.

Alan Whiteway, Jeff Scott and Andre (I don't know his last name), the three Instructors I had, during my classes, were very mean to me, especially Jeff, who seemed to be always in a terrible mood, 24/7, and all three of them would single me out, amongst the other students.

I thought the classes were far too ridiculously strict and rather unpleasant, and all three Instructors would run the Dojo like it was a Military-Bootcamp, and would make us do pushups for any kind of error, no matter how small, and even if it was unintentional.

They say that Martial-Arts improves your confidence, but being in "Whiteway's Taekwondo" did exactly the opposite, by decreasing my confidence even further.

I have Asperger-Syndrome, and my parents put me in "Whiteway's Taekwondo", because I was being bullied at school, but this particular Dojo was no help, whatsoever.

All the Instructors did was treat me like I was a fresh recruit in the Army.

They gave me no guidance, no strategies, no support and no hope of dealing with the bullies at school.

In my personal opinion, a true Martial-Arts Sensei acts as a Mentor to his/her younger students, and whilst he/she doesn't exactly have to be their friend, a true Martial-Arts Sensei should always be the exact kind of person that a younger student can turn to for help.

From what I remember, Alan Whiteway, Jeff Scott and Andre (Last Name Unknown) were the very last people I would ever to turn to for help, and their very demeanors were that of a sadistic Drill-Sergeant, and they too used to bully me, during class.

Also, one time, during class, Jeff Scott actually made me cry, by threatening physical harm upon me, during a certain exercise.

I am very sorry that I ever joined this particular Dojo, and would not recommend it to anyone with a disability, especially to those whom are children with disabilities.
