Zen Bu Kan Kempo Karate is a true "Mixed Martial Art". Lake Macquarie Dojo is run by Sensei Malcolm Starkey (3rd Dan with over 22 years experience and Vice President of Australian council). Classes cover realistic self-defense, Karate and JuJitsu/grappling/MMA for teens and adults.
The following Martial Arts Styles are offered at Zen Bu Kan Kempo Karate:
Wednesdays
5:30-7pm: Zen Bu Kan Kempo Karate class: 11yrs and over. No contracts, pay as you go. This class focuses on self-defense and requirements for obtaining each grade/belt.
7-8:30pm: Mixed Martial Art/grappling: Teens and adults. No contracts, pay as you go. This class focuses on tournament preparation i.e. mixed martial arts, kickboxing and grappling.
