It was with trepidation I took my son to this dojo, after reading the (single) negative comment below, but I went with an open mind.

The first time we went, we were running 5 mins late due to a dead car battery, a HUGE no-no in my previous training facilities, where we would be made to sit out until we could join in, after warm-up.

No such drama at Miwio School of Jiu Jitsu - the Sensei (and students) welcomed us, and welcomed my son immediately onto the mat to begin training.

Everyone was immensely helpful, and there is a high ratio of black-belt instructors to students, with a more 'personal' feel than a large over-commercialized dojo.

I was very impressed with the principal, Sensei Bob Patterson, who sat with me for a while, talking about training methodology, different styles of martial arts and the like, whilst my son trained with the class. (including one-on-one tuition to help him with perfecting individual techniques)

I am very impressed with the level of instruction given, the facilities and the friendliness of the dojo and give my unreserved recommendation to anyone (over 10) planning to train Jiu Jitsu to call Sensei Bob Patterson and discuss with him your needs.

Myself and my two children aged 17 and 16 went down enthusiastic to begin martial arts (Miwio Jiu Jitsu). When we arrived the Sensai ignored us for 5 minutes when we FINALLY got his attention We proceeded to help layout the mats. My eldest son (17) was tying up his shoe lace when the sensai rudely said "Children are expected to help out aswell" I stepped in and said Fair go mate his just tying up his shoe. The sensai then said why are you not working....... THAT WAS IT WE WERE OUT OF THAT HELL HOLE

THE MOST RUDEST, ARROGANT PIG I HAVE EVER COME ACCROSS

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE
