rip off club these instructors are former instructors from that rip-off club called GKR aka mcdojo!!! don't waste your time nor money here guys it's not worth it! better off training somewhere where they have 0 ties with that mcdojo called GKR.

As for barrys lame excuses, saying alot of parents said some really nasty things about him. isn't that all part of being an instructor? so what, what's gonna happen if parents and mums are saying some really nasty things to him at the goju club? is he gonna leave again and look for another club????? it doesn't matter what style you train at there all ways gonna be nasty parents it just how it is.

and as for him saying a lot of his black belt students all thru it in his face, and saying they all were his only accomplishments as a karate instructor, what a load of rubbish!!! I thought his son was his accomplishment and a few other loyal instructors and students? even if they did disrespected him, he could of just transfer to another dojo or help out at warrens class.

as for him talking a lot of rumors about anthony crumpton which is all true. so what, who cares, MOVE ON. I'm sure he had learned his lesson whatever he did and plus, he is no longer apart of GKR anymore what is the problem there? but no, he only cares about his selfish self. These guys are not very loyal to their students.

as for their lame excuses saying they have work commitment WHAT A LOAD OF rubbish!!! if that was the case they wouldn't be training in another style and backstabing me and few other students.

I Would of been okay if they wanna to training with Harvey Baldwyn on the weekends as well as supporting GKR and helping me to achieve my black belt but no, they only care about their selfish selves.

Be very careful of these guys, do not believe a word that comes out these guys mouths. they are not to be trusted. they only care about their selfish selves. Hell, even few of the senseis at gkr are Disgusted with these two guys.

Oh, and another thing. why didn't they when to shihan stacey karetsian seminar in morayfield a few months ago? WHY IS THAT, WHYS IS THAT, is it because all the senseis and sempai are all Disgusted and angry with these guys.

Here is the funny part what I'm confused about. this group talkes alot about respecting and respecting others. which I was not respect nor I was welcome to Harvey Baldwyn redcliffe dojo.

These guys don't even deserve a 1 star rating if I could I would rate these guys a 0 rating. what I'm about to say is not aimed at Sensei Harvey Baldwyn nor shihan Bernie and their goju club. oh my god, oh my god where do I start?

Going back last year around june 2017, after sensei anthony and simon leaving gkr here is how things got way out of hand. after my last class with sensei simon a few of the students and senseis their told me warren and barry had left GKR due to family emergency, which was all a cover up. but, how I did found out they are training in another club, as I when shopping for another club so I found harveys goju style so I when down there and try out a free class with Harvey Baldwyn. don't get me wrong, it was an ok club I wouldn't mind training their even if I had to start from white belt. but, guess who I bumped into, warren and barry!!! I was all confused after seeing warren and barry at the goju club. and when I asked warren are you now training here now? he didn't really wanna speak to me and they made me feel unwelcome their which is the main reason why I called Harvey Baldwyn a con artist, which I apologize for. all my frustration is all aimed at warren and barry 100%.

These two guys are the main reason why they had completely destroyed my GKR journey and my karate journey in general which I worked 7-8 years to achieve my 1st kyu. and I spend a lot of money and dragging my poor dad along to all these gradings and assessments. what I also found out is, a lot of the senseis at GKR are very Disgusted with these two instructors Disgusting decision to go training in another style and backstab me and their students.

Since moving from another style of karate to Goju Ryu karate my passion for martial arts has been re-newed.

I wasn't learning anything but since changing I now have access to an unlimited amount of things to learn, study and enjoy continuing my karate journey.

Just like any other style, there are pros and cons.

Pros

the training is very traditional and the Instructors are qualified and knowledgeable.

you will have full access with international masters in Japan

Cons

If you have done styles like okinawan goju-ryu or styles base off Goju like GKR and expecting to transfer your rank over, forget it!!!!

This dojo is too much into the politics in Japan.

Cost?

the price is ridiculous but, it's still a good style.

The training is very traditional and in a friendly atmosphere. Instructors share knowledge they have gained from training in Japan.

Instructors are well qualified and knowledgeable.

Prices are very reasonable and cheaper than most.

Suitable for children, adults and families.
